Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, retain, and protect your personal data.

Mercy Platform Company Limited, trading as Mercy Platform ("we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy applies to eshop.mpco.hk (the "Website") and explains how we handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

Please read this policy before using the Website or providing personal data to us.

1. Data we collect

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, and encrypted login credentials.
  • Contact and delivery information, such as your phone number, shipping or billing address, and SF service point or locker code.
  • Order and transaction information, such as items purchased, amounts, payment status, delivery method, and order history.
  • Messages you send us and technical data needed to operate the Website, such as IP address, browser, device, cookies, and activity logs.

2. Why we use your data

  • To create and manage accounts and process orders, payments, applicable refunds, collection appointments, and deliveries.
  • To send order, payment, and shipment notices and provide customer support.
  • To protect accounts and the Website, prevent fraud, troubleshoot issues, and improve our services.
  • To meet accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and dispute-handling obligations.

3. Payment information

Online payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. We receive information such as the transaction reference, amount, and payment status, but do not receive or store your full card number or CVC. The payment provider handles details submitted directly to it under its own privacy policy.

4. Disclosure and service providers

We do not sell or rent your personal data. To provide our services, we may disclose necessary data to payment processors, delivery companies, email providers, hosting providers, and technical service providers. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect legitimate rights.

Some providers may process data outside Hong Kong. We take reasonable steps to require them to use the data only for the stated purposes and apply appropriate safeguards.

5. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain data only for as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal, accounting, security, or dispute requirements. We then securely delete or anonymise it.

6. Cookies

The Website uses cookies needed for sign-in, cart, language preference, payment, and security functions. You can restrict cookies in your browser, but sign-in, cart, or checkout features may no longer work correctly. Third-party payment services may also use necessary cookies under their own policies.

7. Your rights and how to contact us

Under Hong Kong law, you may request access to and correction of personal data we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and will handle requests in accordance with applicable law. You may also ask us to delete data that is no longer needed, although we may retain certain records for legal, accounting, or dispute-handling obligations.
